Registration now is open for the Summer 2025 session of activities from Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation!
What can I take?
We are offering 33 different activities for people of all ages, including 12 new opportunities! For details, explore the MyRec online registration system or view our Summer 2025 Activity Guide.
Printed guides are available at locations around town and in our office (enter Door 18 on the south end of Plymouth High School). Contact us at commedrec@plymouth.k12.wi.us or 920-892-5068 if you'd like us to mail you a copy.
What is new for Summer 2025?
- Photography 101: Explore how to see the world like a photographer, go on short photo walks, and try out easy techniques to improve your shots.
- Bouquet Building: Using flowers grown locally and lovingly on Airy Point Farm, you’ll learn the fundamentals of floral design, including arrangement techniques, color selection, and seasonal styling.
- Adult Paint Day: Create your very own masterpiece on an 11x14 canvas as the teacher guides you through every brushstroke to bring a stunning nature scene to life together.
- Canning 101: This family-friendly class teaches the basics of safe waterbath canning by crafting a jar of dilly beans. You will discuss the basics of safe canning methods, including pressure canning, equipment review, recipe review, storage of your food preserves, and some tips and troubleshooting.
- Herbs for Women’s Health: From reproductive support to menopause and beyond, herbs can help soothe and relieve common concerns. Everyone will take home a remedy we make in class and a handout with recipes.
- The Hiker’s Helper: Grab your hiking shoes and bring your littlest helper along for the ride.
- Habitat Hike: Families can learn what a habitat is & how to spot them in nature, then hike the Lone Oak Park trail to look for nests, dug-out trees, & more!
- Just a Little Garden for Kids: Students in grades 1-6 will design and decorate a clay pot, then decide which plants to grow in it.
- Arts & Crafts Camp: Four separate sessions for students ages 6-14, each exploring a unique form of arts and crafts, giving kids the chance to express themselves, learn new skills, and have tons of fun.
- Racquet Sports Intro: Ages 8-12 can get active, have fun, and learn the fundamentals of both tennis and pickleball through engaging drills, games, and match play. Students will build hand-eye coordination, footwork, and sportsmanship while developing a lifelong love of racquet sports.
- Vin/Yin Yoga: Start class with a dynamic Vinyasa yoga by linking movements with breath, creating a flowing sequence of poses. End with Yin yoga’s long, gentle holds in passive poses targeting the deep connective tissues to improve flexibility, joint mobility, and body awareness.
- Pickleball Skill-Based Sessions: Join pickleball organized by skill level. Intermediate is perfect for players with solid knowledge of the game, who can sustain rallies, understand strategy, and are looking for more competitive play. Advanced is for experienced players with strong court awareness, consistent shot placement, and advanced strategies.
How do I register?
- Online: If possible, please register online via MyRec, which carries no service fee and offers immediate confirmation. (You first will need to create a MyRec account, if you have not already done so; once we verify residency and approve the account, you can register for any of our offerings going forward.)
- In person: You can register in our office, where we will help set up your MyRec account and can accept cash, check, and credit cards. Park in the visitor lot in front of Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave., and enter Door 18 on the south end of the building. Our office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays (8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays this summer).
- By mail: While MyRec registration is preferred, you still can print a registration form to mail with a check to Community Ed & Rec, 125 S. Highland Ave., Plymouth WI 53073.
