The Plymouth School District encourages families of students who will begin 4-year-old kindergarten in the fall to enroll them now, as staffing levels are being set for the 2025-26 school year.
Every effort will be made to provide placement information (i.e. school location and morning/afternoon class) by June 1 to families who have enrolled by May 1. However, 4K enrollments will be accepted throughout the summer.
Children who will be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible for 4K, which features play-based learning in a classroom setting four half-days a week. This nurturing environment is designed to foster independence, encourage creativity, provide for social growth, and promote new learning.
All three public elementary schools host 4K classes, with morning 4K from 8:45 a.m. to noon and afternoon 4K from 12:30 to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Learn more: Plymouth School District 4K presentation
Onsite child care is offered by Berry Branch, operated by Community Education & Recreation, which is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays (except during 4K class time), including Fridays, no-school days, and summer break. Learn more: Child Care webpage
