Four Riverview students chosen for All-State Choir

Posted January 27, 2025

Congratulations to the Riverview Middle School students who participated with the recent All-State Middle-Level Choir offered by the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association!

Brinley Baltus (soprano), Corbin Depies (baritone), Cameron Mabie (baritone), and Morgan Struve (alto) were selected to join 130 other middle-schoolers from across the state for a two-day workshop held Jan. 10-11 in Appleton. Brinley was chosen as a soloist for the concert that concluded the WCDA conference.

During the workshop, students were able to work with conductor Chris Manu, who also is a composer, on one of his pieces of music.

“Middle-school students rarely are able to meet a composer, much less work in collaboration with one,” said Riverview choral teacher Rachel Simac. “This was an awesome experience for the students, who represented Riverview in a great light. Congratulations and great work to the four students!”
