Schools embrace giving spirit

Plymouth School District schools, staff, students, and families have been helping others throughout this holiday season. Here are some examples of their caring and generosity!
Plymouth High School
- National Honor Society held its annual Holiday Food Drive from Dec. 9 to 16, collecting 2,000 food items and $700 for the Plymouth Food Pantry. Food drive partner FFA assigned an item for members to bring each day from Dec. 1 to 16.
- Peers for Peers, led by senior Emily Machovec, collected and donated 160 Blankets with Love to people at the Plymouth St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store
- Plymouth FFA made 10 tie blankets for Ronald McDonald House.
- National Art Honors Society made a dozen blankets for project Linus.
Other schools
- Riverview Food Drive, held the week before Thanksgiving, collected 35 crates of food for the Plymouth Food Pantry.
- Horizon kindergarten and 2nd-graders made placemats for Songbird Pond Assisted Living.
- Fairview staff provided monetary donations to Dairy Doctors in support of their Gallons of Goodness Milk Campaign for those in need.
- Riverview Choir visited Rocky Knoll recently to sing for residents.
- Riverview staff collected gifts for local families through its annual Giving Tree program.
