This year’s Union Cemetery Walk will be held Sunday May 18

Cemetery Walk to feature PHS drama students

Posted May 5, 2025

Plymouth High School students again will participate in the Union Cemetery Walk presented by the Plymouth Historical Society.

Drama students in period clothing will share information drawn from Plymouth Historical Society research about the lives of people who once called Plymouth home.

This year’s event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday May 18 and is open to the public. Admission is free, though donations for the Union Cemetery Gravestone Cleaning Fund are appreciated.

Brochures will be available at the Division Street entrance, north of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Attendees can walk through the cemetery at their leisure; the tour will take about an hour to complete.

New this year is a demonstration of monument cleaning offered by Sheboygan County Historical Research Center.

Union Cemetery was established in 1854, though the first burial occurred in 1852. Many early Plymouth settlers repose in this tranquil 4-acre parcel two blocks north of downtown.
