Community Ed & Rec offers variety of activities in March

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering Open Golf, Rock Climb & Pickleball, Understanding Medicare, Freezer Meal Workshop, an Around Our Town tour of Fairview, a Fitness Center Orientation, and two new wellness classes in March!

Open Golf

Bring your own clubs & balls and practice your golf skills indoors. Putting greens are also available.
Details: 8-11am Saturdays March 1 & 15 PHS Multipurpose Facility
Fee: $10 per person per hour; register by 4pm Friday
Notes: No metal spikes. Some balls are available, but if you have some please bring them.

Low Tox Lifestyle for Hormonal Health - NEW

Dive into how the endocrine system and hormones are impacted by toxins and how you can begin to heal and support your body. Learn about lower-toxic living strategies, from everyday household products to personal care items, and how to transition to healthier alternatives. Participants will leave with actionable steps and resources to support their hormone health. Bonus: Includes a copy of Dr. Owens’ Hormone & Endocrine Health e-book.

Family Rock Climb & Pickleball - NEW

For families with children ages 5 & up. Enjoy climbing the indoor vertical wall, which has 4 runs from basic to advanced with straight climbs and an overhang to challenge everyone. When not climbing, your family can learn basic pickleball skills and play together. Pickleball equipment provided. You are welcome to bring other sports balls from home.

Around Our Town: Fairview Elementary School

Community members ages 18+ are invited to look inside one of Plymouth’s public elementary schools.
Details: 6pm Thursday March 13 at 300 Salem Dr., Plymouth
Fee: Free, but you must register in advance because space is limited

Fitness Center Orientation

Details: 9:30-10:30am Saturday March 15
Fee: Free for Fitness Center members or prospective members, but you must pre-register

How Stress and the Nervous System Shape your Health - NEW

Learn how neurological-based spinal care can improve all areas of your life. Dr. Erika Owens, a neurological-based chiropractor, will discuss how stress impacts the nervous system and the whole body and explore methods to reduce stress and help the body heal. Bonus: includes a complimentary nerve scan or mini-assessment using technology from the office.

Freezer Meal Workshop

Spend an hour assembling 4 freezer meals to feed 4-6 people. Includes prepped veggies, spices, herbs, bags, recipes, etc. When you’re ready to eat, add another ingredient or two and your choice of protein. Cozy Crockpot: White Chicken Chili, Chicken Souvlaki (Gyros), Stuffed Pepper Soup, Chicken Parmesan Casserole

Understanding Medicare

Learn more about the U.S. national health insurance program for senior citizens.
