Plymouth Education Foundation hosting Music Bingo Fundraiser

Plymouth Education Foundation is hosting a Music Bingo Fundraiser to help cover operating costs and scholarships for Plymouth High School students.

“We are excited to have a unique event that is a fun and interactive way for attendees to support the cause while enjoying a night of entertainment,” said foundation director Angela Heinz.

This new event will be held Saturday Feb. 22 at Plymouth Arts Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets, available for purchase online, cost $45, which includes a meal with dessert as well as a bingo card. There will be a cash bar and various raffles throughout the evening. Former teacher Gale Grahn will serve as master of ceremonies.

The Plymouth Education Foundation (PEF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to enhance the educational experience of the students enrolled in the Plymouth School District.

The foundation’s current initiative is raising funds for scholarships to help students in grades 9-12 cover the costs of dual-enrollment courses, which carry both PHS and college credit. Such courses are much cheaper per credit than what students would pay when they get to their respective colleges and universities.

“This initiative is a significant step toward making higher education more accessible and affordable for our students,” Mrs. Heinz said. “By alleviating some of the financial burdens associated with dual-credit courses, the foundation is empowering students to pursue their academic goals without the added stress of financial constraints.”
