The Plymouth School District now is enrolling students who will begin 4-year-old kindergarten in the fall!
About 4K
Children who will be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible for 4K, which features play-based learning in a classroom setting four half-days a week. The nurturing environment is designed to foster independence, encourage creativity, provide for social growth, and promote new learning.
All three public elementary schools host classes, with morning 4K from 8:45 a.m. to noon and afternoon 4K from 12:30 to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Learn more: Plymouth School District 4K presentation
Onsite child care is offered by Berry Branch, operated by Community Education & Recreation, which is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays (except during 4K class time), including Fridays, no-school days, and summer break. Learn more: Child Care webpage
4K Info Night
Families of potential 4K students are invited to our 4K Info Night on Thursday Feb. 6 at Fairview Elementary School, 300 Salem Drive.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with a brief adult-focused presentation at 5:45 p.m. Families will have a chance to meet 4K teachers, see a 4K classroom, enroll for 4K, and learn about busing and onsite childcare provided by Berry Branch.
4K enrollment
NOTE: We make every effort to provide placement information (school location and morning/afternoon) by June 1 to families who have enrolled by May 1. However, we will continue to accept enrollments through the summer.
