Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering at least 34 ways – more than half of its winter offerings! – to help you meet your healthy New Year’s goals!
Our new Fit Club offers accountability plus the opportunity to exercise up to six days a week – leveraging the most effective tools for regular exercise: accountability, variety, and group support!
You get a 3-month membership to the Community Fitness Center, plus access to land fitness classes (space permitting), as well as weekly group meetings, tips from the Wellness Coordinator, and a personalized fitness plan tailored to your goals.

Community members can purchase memberships to the Fitness Center located on the south end of Plymouth High School. The facility features Matrix circuit training, cardio machines, and free weights. An adult staff member is available to explain how to use the equipment.

Shine (trial) – NEW!

Focaccia & Hearty Squash Bisque Experience

Medicine of the Grandmothers: Stocks and Broths - NEW
Learn to make nourishing broths/stocks. Our grandmothers knew the healing benefit of incorporating long-cooked stocks and broths into their daily lives.This class will offer information about the benefits of healing stocks. This will be a nourishing make-and-take hands-on workshop. It will offer participants inspiration for maximizing the nutritional value and flavor of homemade stocks and broths. We will include vegetables, mushrooms, beef and chicken bones as well as herbs in our broths. Bring a small pot, and everyone will have the opportunity to take home the base ingredients to make your own stock/broth at home. Recipes, samples, and ingredients to make your own stock at home included.

Herbal Medicine Workshop - NEW
Join herbalist Linda Conroy for this fun and inspiring program! Learn to make herbal remedies that will assist you in healing minor cuts and ailments. Foundations of Health: How Stress and the Nervous System Shape your Health - NEW

Looking for a free, simple way to keep moving this winter? Community members can walk the hallways and indoor track at Plymouth High School for free during designated times!
The following options are available on regular school days:
Before school:
• Track: 5:30-7 a.m. through March 22
After school:
• Track: 4-7 p.m. (4-6 p.m. Fridays) through March 22
• Halls: 3-8 p.m. (3-6 p.m. Fridays) through April 26
No pre-registration is necessary and walking is free, but be sure to sign the roster located outside the Fitness Center each visit to help us gauge interest in this activity. Park in the visitor lot in front of the south end or in the student lot south of the building and enter Door 18 (Community Ed & Rec/District entrance).
