Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering several activities for middle-schoolers this winter!
These opportunities are open to all area students in the appropriate grades, including those who attend parochial schools and those who are homeschooled.
Students in grades 7-8 can get ready for the spring tennis season! Learn the basics of tennis – including forehand, backhand, and serving – interspersed with play time. Bring your own racquet, water, and light lunch.
Instructor: Jesse Frausto, Riverview tennis coach
Details: 9am-1pm Saturday Jan. 18 in the Fairview Gym
Fee: $20 through Jan 13, then $30

Students in grades 5-8 can develop their wrestling skills and represent Riverview at competitions with area middle schools.
Coaches: Andrew Crivellone and Craig Schuenemann
Details: First practice Monday Jan. 20; meets Feb. 18-March 10

Students in grades 7-8 will learn the basics of athletic-based fitness training and develop speed, explosiveness, agility, strength and conditioning. Students who complete the class and pass the Free-Weight Safety test can use the PHS Fitness Center independently.

Details: 2:45-4pm Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays Jan. 27-Mar 6 in the Riverview Fitness Center
Fee: Free, but participants must register in advance

Students in grades 6-8 will learn the basics of tennis (forehand, backhand, serving) or keep advancing their skills (lobbing, poaching, volleying).

Open to students in grades 5-8. Located next to Riverview Middle School, the center is open after school on regular school days with at least one adult present at all times.
