Community winter fitness & aquatic classes begin soon

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering a new Fit Club opportunity, two free Fitness Launches, 11 group fitness classes, and 7 aquatic opportunities for adults this winter!

Fit Club – NEW!

This exciting accountability group gives you the opportunity to exercise up to 6 days a week! With a 3-month Fitness Center membership, you'll have access to land fitness classes (space permitting), as well as weekly group meetings—all at one price. This program leverages the most effective tools for regular exercise: accountability, variety, and group support. Additionally, you'll receive weekly tips from the Wellness Coordinator, along with a personalized fitness plan tailored to your goals.

30-Minute Essential Fitness
Experience a dynamic blend of strength and conditioning designed to elevate your fitness level, whether you're just starting out or an advanced athlete. In 30 minutes, combine bodyweight exercises with diverse accessory equipment to sculpt and tone your muscles, while boosting your metabolism and enhancing calorie burn throughout the day. Get ready for a full-body workout that challenges you and leaves you feeling stronger and more energized!

Les Mills BodyPump™
BodyPump is a total-body strength workout that will shape and tone all major muscle groups, increase core strength, improve bone health, and leave you feeling strong and fit! The low-weight, high-repetition training of BodyPump™ is based on a formula called The Rep Effect™, which utilizes time under tension and fatigue to generate muscular adaptation. The fusion of science-backed moves, motivating instructors, and great music helps you achieve much more than you would on your own.

Cycle & Core
Enjoy an endless variety of intervals of high cardio bouts on the bike and core strength exercises off the bike to improve strength and endurance.

Shine (trial) – NEW!
SHiNE is a dance fitness workout combining current hit music and choreo to help participants feel confident and strong. This high-cardio exercise combines jazz, ballet and hip hop moves with calisthenics in a HIIT format for a full-body workout. Come dance with us!

Stretch & Core
This 45-minute Pilates inspired class will take you through core strengthening exercises to enhance overall flexibility. Strength training for your core, with varying abdominal and low-back exercises.

Total Body Training
Increase heart rate with low- to medium- impact intervals using weights, bosu balls, resistance bands, and stability balls, while strengthening the muscles of the core.

Gentle Yoga
A yoga class focusing on calming the mind and body. We slowly and mindfully move through poses, emphasizing breath and alignment, while building core muscle and relieving stress. Appropriate for all levels.

Vinyasa Yoga
An all-levels yoga class focusing on breath and movement. Challenge your body by toning muscle and building core strength through a sequence of poses. Some yoga experience is recommended, although modifications will be suggested. Please bring a mat if you have one.

Sunrise Yoga – NEW!

Aquatic opportunities

Deep Water
This motivational class uses water resistance for a great workout. You must be comfortable in deep water. You can use noodles or cuffs.

Water Walking
This self-paced, self-directed class in shallow water is perfect for those with limited mobility. Just walk at your own pace! Held at the same time as Deep Water, so help is nearby.

20/20 Aquatics
20 minutes of high-powered & motivational shallow-water aerobics followed by 20 minutes of abdominal work. Your feet will be off the floor for long periods of time, and you’ll use equipment.

How do I register?

Registration is now open! If possible, please register online via MyRec, which carries no service fees and offers immediate confirmation. (You first will need to create a MyRec account, if you have not already done so; once we verify residency and approve the account, you can register for any of our offerings going forward.)

You also can register in our office, where we will help you set up a MyRec account and can accept cash, check, and credit cards. Our office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays (except Dec. 24-27, Dec. 31, and Jan. 1 during Winter Break); park in the visitor lot in front of Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave., and enter Door 18.

While MyRec registration is preferred, you still can print a registration form to mail with a check to Community Ed & Rec, 125 S. Highland Ave., Plymouth WI 53073.
