Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering another session of Middle-School Lifting.
Riverview Middle School physical education teacher Christian Vollbrecht will cover the basics of athletic fitness training and help participants develop speed, explosiveness, agility, strength, and conditioning. Students who complete the class and pass a free-weight safety test can use the Fitness Center at Plymouth High School without a parent/guardian.
Lifting class is open to all area students in grades 7 and 8, including those attending parochial schools and those who are homeschooled.
Participants choose either Mondays and Wednesdays OR Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes will meet from 2:45 to 4 p.m. from Nov. 25 to Jan. 17 (except during Thanksgiving Break and Winter Break) in the Riverview Fitness Center.
There is no fee, but participants must be registered via MyRec in advance by their parent/guardian.
