Schools seeking subs, aides, cooks, coaches, child-care help, & bus drivers

Parents, grandparents, and others seeking part-time employment that follows the school calendar are encouraged to consider opportunities available through the Plymouth School District and Johnson School Bus.

Substitute teachers

Substitutes, who fill in as needed for absent teachers, need an associate’s degree and a Substitute Teacher License.

How to apply: Complete a Substitute Teacher Application and a District Employment Application and return them to the District Office.*

Educational assistants

Aides, who assist in classrooms and help in various other ways, need to be at least 18 years old.

How to apply: Complete a District Employment Application and return it to the District Office.*

Food Service

Server/Cooks, who perform duties related to all phases of food preparation, need to be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Candidates also must be able to stand for 4-6 hours and lift an occasional 60 pounds. Food service experience preferred but not required.

Coaches, directors, advisors

We currently are seeking adults to fill a variety of extracurricular roles, including:

  • PHS JV Boys Soccer Head Coach
  • PHS JV2 Football Coach
  • PHS JV Girls Basketball Head Coach
  • PHS Homecoming Advisor

Child-care assistants

Community Education & Recreation seeks adults with child-care experience for its three child-care programs, which provide for children as young as 6 weeks old through fourth grade, and for the Youth Center that serves middle-school students.

How to apply: Complete a District Employment Application and return it to the Community Ed & Rec Office, open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays on the south end of Plymouth High School (enter Door 18).

Bus drivers

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and possess a Wisconsin driver’s license and have a safe driving record. No experience is necessary; Johnson Bus can provide training and reimbursement for a commercial driver’s license. Morning, noon, and afternoon route options are available, as are extracurricular trips and outside charters.

*The District Office, located on the south end of Plymouth High School (enter Door 18), is open 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday through Aug. 2, then from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
