PHS FBLA qualifies 11 events for Nationals

The Plymouth High School Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America has earned the Gold Level of the National Champion Chapter Award.

The award was made during the Wisconsin FBLA State Leadership Conference on April 17-18, where Plymouth placed 10th out of 158 chapters. PHS student Owen Plate was recognized as Local Chapter Who’s Who in FBLA.

At regionals earlier this year, Plymouth FBLA had qualified 62 students in 38 events for the State Leadership Conference. At State, 20 PHS students in 11 events were recognized at the Awards of Excellence program. Students placing in the top 4 of their events qualify to compete at the National Leadership Conference to be held June 27-30 in Atlanta, Ga.

National Qualifiers:

  • Emmitt Huhn: 1st in Introduction to Business Concepts
  • Nick Shircel: 1st in Networking Infrastructures
  • Sophia Suchocki: 1st in Organizational Leadership
  • Claire Nelson, Grace Poppe, & Allison Steiner: 3rd in Business Financial Plan
  • Brody Downs, Ryan Lautenschlaeger, & Nate Stucke: 3rd in Network Design

Also receiving State Recognition:

  • Ethan Kohlman: 5th in Agribusiness
  • Ben Harpstead, Wyatt Herzog, & Nehl Kremer: 5th in Entrepreneurship
  • Grant Luedtke & Mylee Nickel: 6th in Business Plan
  • Olivia Monkoski: 7th in Electronic Career Portfolio
  • Braden Neu: 7th in Securities & Investments
  • Wyatt Moore, Carter Selk, & Eli Steiner: 7th in Sports & Entertainment
