Community invited to spring school shows

Parents, grandparents, and other community members are invited to experience the talents of Plymouth School District students at spring performances.

The following shows are free and open to the public. Performances are at Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave., or at Riverview Middle School, 300 Riverside Circle, unless otherwise noted.

Riverview Talent Show
6 p.m. Thursday March 30 in the Riverview Auditorium

PHS Choir - Nationals at Carnegie Hall Concert
7:30 p.m. Thursday March 30 in the PHS Auditorium
Featuring Concert Choir, Mixed Choir, and Treble Ensemble performing the selections they performed at Carnegie Hall during their recent trip to New York City, including “Let the River Run” spotlighting the PHS choirs plus the world premiere of “Song of Revolution” with other invited choirs

PHS Jazz Concert
7:30 p.m. Monday April 3 at Plymouth Arts Center
Featuring guest soloist Allen Cordingly from UW-Platteville

PHS Comedy Team Performance
7 p.m. Friday April 14 in the PHS Amphitheatre
Featuring improvisational games played by Jolly Pranksters team members, with audience participation is highly encouraged and an integral part of the show

PHS Alumni Art Show
5:30-9 p.m. Thursday April 20 at Generations, 1500 Douglas Drive
Featuring artworks created by Plymouth High School alumni under the theme “Legacy”

Horizon Talent Show
6 p.m. Friday April 21 in the Riverview Auditorium

Fairview Spring Concert
Grades K-2 at 6 p.m., grades 3-4 at 7 p.m. Monday April 24 in the PHS Auditorium
Featuring elementary students singing a variety of songs from Mary Poppins to the Beatles and more for an uplifting and enjoyable evening of music.

Parkview Spring Concert
Grades K-2 at 6 p.m., grades 3-4 at 7 p.m. Tuesday April 25 in the PHS Auditorium
Featuring songs about spring, summer, patriotism, and music. Students will be using various instruments to share the joy and wearing some fun costumes! Grades 2-4 will play the ukulele as well.

Horizon Spring Concert
Grades K-2 at 6 p.m., grades 3-4 at 7 p.m. Thursday April 27 in the PHS Auditorium

Riverview 5th-Grade Music Concert

Featuring all 5th-grade students

Featuring students in the 6th- and 7th-grade choirs

Riverview 8th-Grade Band & Choir Concert

Featuring both 8th-grade band and 8th-grade choir

PHS Spring Band Concert

Featuring selected upperclassmen solos, duets, and a barbershop!

PHS Cabaret
7:30 p.m. Friday May 19 in the PHS Auditorium
Featuring all PHS choirs performing under the theme "Down with the Crown," with songs including "Royals" by Lorde, "Hail Holy Queen" from Sister Act, "Castle on a Hill" by Ed Sheeran, and "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay; plus a combo feature number and Momentum Show Choir's award-winning competitive show as the finale

Jazz in the Park
7 p.m. Wednesday May 24 in Riverview Auditorium (note new location)
Featuring the Riverview Jazz Band, PHS Jazz Band I, and PHS Jazz Band II

PHS Ampth Rats Performance
7 p.m. Tuesday May 30 and Wednesday May 31 in the PHS Amphitheatre (note date change)
Featuring students in Drama 2/3 performing a one-act cut of "The Night Witches," a play about an all-female soviet fighter brigade during World War II. They made bombing runs in very old and outdated cropdusters, sometimes dropping bombs by hand, but this rag-tag group persevered through hardship and were feared by the Nazis. The production is directed by Drama 3 students Miriam Fabian and Sariya Osterberg, under the supervision of PHS drama teacher Jack Colombo. Admission is free, though donations will be accepted for the Fine Arts Boosters.
