Free developmental screenings available

Posted September 26, 2022

Free developmental screenings are being offered soon for area children ages 6 months through 5 years.

Screenings will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 13 and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday Oct. 14 at Generations, 1500 Douglas Drive. Advance registration is required; click here to register online.

Screenings cover communication, problem solving, personal-social interaction, and fine and large motor skills. The benefits of screening young children include celebrating their development; supporting school-readiness skills; gathering parenting information and resources; and early detection of potential developmental delays.

The screenings are conducted by the Sheboygan County Community Partnership for Children with support from Plymouth School District, Sheboygan County Public Health Department, Sheboygan County Head Start, Birth to Three, Progressive Beginnings Rehabilitation Specialists, Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County, Family Connections, and Sheboygan Area School District Early Learning Center.
