Looking back at PHS in 1996-97

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the graduation of the Plymouth High School Class of 1997. Here is a look back at their senior year!

Homecoming

Homecoming Week 1996 had a Disney theme and featured:
  • Girls’ powder puff football games
  • Dress-up days throughout the week, including yellow and disco
  • Hall and window decorating
  • Tug-of-war competition
  • Food drive and penny war
  • Homecoming crowning ceremony and laser show, followed by a pep rally in the gym
  • Parade through downtown, followed by a bonfire
  • Football victory over Kewaskum on Friday evening
  • Homecoming Dance on Saturday

The arts

Performing opportunities included:
  • Fall play “Jabberwock”
  • One-act play “Class Action”
  • Christmas Madrigal Dinner in December
  • Spring musical “South Pacific”
  • Concert Band, Jazz 1, Jazz 2, Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble
  • Swing Choir, Mixed Choir, Womens Choir, Freshmen Girls Choir
  • Lakeland College Music Festival in April
  • State Solo & Ensemble in May

  • PHS hosted 10 foreign-exchange students during the school year.
  • PHS students visited Honduras, Germany, France, and the Bahamas
  • The band performed at Walt Disney World.
