Four fall Free Films announced

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering four Free Films this fall, beginning with “The Rescue” this month.

Admission to all four films is free, but please register at least two days in advance so Community Ed & Rec knows there is enough interest to show the film. You can register online via MyRec, by emailing commedrec@plymouth.k12.wi.us, or by calling 920-892-5068.

All films are shown in the auditorium (enter Door 1) at Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave.

“The Rescue”

This subtitled documentary chronicles the dramatic 2018 rescue of 12 Thai boys and their soccer coach after they were trapped deep inside a flooded cave. Rated PG

“Downton Abbey - A New Era”

In this drama/romance, the Crawley family goes on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the dowager countess’ newly inherited villa. Rated PG

“Wonder”

Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie Pullman becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to discover their compassion and acceptance, Auggie’s extraordinary journey will unite them and prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out. Rated PG

“Top Gun Maverick”

After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. Training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment, Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past and his deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who choose to fly it.
