Jiujitsu, Kayaking, Saturday BodyPump classes begin soon

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering a new Intro to Adult Jiujitsu class, plus Kayaking classes and Saturday BodyPump classes beginning in September.

Intro to Adult Jiujitsu

This new introductory 6-week course to Brazilian jiujitsu covers the basic positions, movements, and techniques of this grappling sport in a safe and controlled environment.
Instructor: Heather Bassett, Purple Belt
Details: 5:15-6:15 a.m. Thursdays Sept. 22-Oct. 27 in the PHS Studio
Fee: $35 (senior* $28) until Sept. 9, then $45 ($38)
Note: A second session will be offered Nov. 10-Dec. 22.

Kayaking

This introductory course is open to ages 10 and up, so you can bring your family! Includes kayaks (weight limit 250lbs), paddles, and life jackets.
Instructor: Andrew Arensten
Details: 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays Sept. 20-Oct. 11 on the Mullet River
Fee: $30/person (senior* $24) until Sept. 9, then $40 ($34); contact us for a family rate

Les Mills BodyPump Saturdays

This science-backed, full-body barbell workout to great music sculpts and strengthens each muscle group with light weights and many reps.
Instructors: Carly Lenz & Julie Frausto
Details: 8-9 a.m. Saturdays Sept. 24-Dec. 17 in PHS Studio
Fee: $86 (senior* $68) until Sept. 9, then $96 ($78); or combine with other BodyPump classes for a discount

*Senior rate is available to Plymouth School District residents ages 62 & above.

Online (preferred): https://plymouthwi.myrec.com. If you have not done so already, you will need to create a MyRec account; once we verify residency and approve the account, you can register for any of our current offerings.
By mail: Download the printable registration form and send it with a check to Community Ed & Rec, 125 S. Highland Ave., Plymouth WI 53073.
In person: Registrations are accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays in our office on the south end of Plymouth High School. Park in the visitor lot in front of the school and enter at Door 18.
