The Plymouth Education Foundation is sponsoring an online auction and a penny war in conjunction with Plymouth High School Homecoming, to raise funds for its grants program.
The foundation grants program funds innovative initiatives that enhance the educational experience for students in the Plymouth School District. The program has provided more than $100,000 in grants since its inception in 2016.
“Any donation, large or small, is appreciated: sending change with their kids for penny war, online auction items, bidding on items, any monetary donation,” said foundation director Andrea Schultz. “All money raised comes back to make Plymouth School District even stronger!”
The penny war is open to all classes in grades 4K-12. Students, parents, and staff can put donations in the classroom jars in their school office from Oct. 4 to 8. Each penny is worth a point; silver coins and bills count negative, so those should go into another class’ jar to keep things interesting.
For grades 4K-8, the winning class will enjoy an ice cream treat, bragging rights, and recognition at the Homecoming football game. At the high school, spirit week points will be awarded to the grade level with the most points.
The Grow Our Grants online auction will run from Oct. 6 to 11. You can preview some of the items now at https://www.32auctions.com/Growourgrants. Check back often as more items will be added daily.
Donations of items for the auction are welcomed and will be accepted through Monday Oct. 4 by contacting the foundation at email@example.com or 920-892-2661 ext. 1008.
Monetary donations can be made online at https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/PEF. You can designate your donation to go to the “Grow Our Grants Fundraiser” (or other purposes), if you wish.
