Summer youth athletic camps announced

Several youth sports opportunities are offered this summer through the Plymouth School District.

The camps listed below are operated by their respective Plymouth High School athletic programs, with registration handled by Community Education & Recreation.

Girls Basketball Camp

PHS coaches and players will teach game fundamentals with drills and game play.
Who: Girls entering grades 4-9
When: June 14 to 18; grades 4-6 from 8 to 10 a.m., grades 7-9 from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Where: Plymouth High School Gym
Fee: $45; those who register by May 28 get a T-shirt

Stars of Tomorrow Boys Basketball Camp

PHS coaches and players correct, teach, and help perfect the individual fundamentals of basketball. The camp will consist of individual offensive and defensive techniques, as well as scrimmaging in small groups and competing in drills and contests. 
Who: Boys entering grades 2-9
When: Session 1 will be June 21 to 25, Session 2 will be June 28 to July 2; grades 6-9 from noon to 1:30 p.m., grades 2-5 from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m.
Where: Plymouth High School Gym
Fee: $45 per session or both for $60; those who register by June 4 get a T-shirt

Wrestling Camp

PHS is offering a Wrestling Camp with Bryce Meredith, 3-time NCAA D1 All-American, 2x NCAA D1 Finalist, and 4-time Wyoming State Champion.
Who: Boys & girls entering grades 7-12
When: 9 to 10:30 a.m. and/or 2 to 3:30pm Saturday June 26 and Sunday June 27 (can choose any or all four)
Where: Plymouth High School Gym and Wrestling room
Fee: $50/session or $175 for all 4

Dance Clinic

PHS coaches and players help participants learn dance routines, which they will perform for their families. Includes pizza and juice for lunch.
Who: Boys and girls entering grades 1-6
When: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday July 9
Where: Plymouth High School
Fee: $35, due July 2; those who register by June 18 get a T-shirt

Youth Football Camp

PHS football coaches cover game fundamentals, weight training and the development of speed, power and agility. 
Who: Boys entering grades 5-9
When: 12:30 to 3 p.m. Monday July 12 through Wednesday July 14
Where: Plymouth High School
Fee: $45; those who register by June 18 get a T-shirt
