AFS students to talk about their countries

Posted November 4, 2019

AFS foreign-exchange students attending Plymouth High School again will share information about their home countries with the public.

The first 2019-20 presentation will begin at 3:30 p.m. Sunday Nov. 10 at Generations, 1500 Douglas Drive, Plymouth. Franzien Halipa of the Philippines, Alexandra Fosser of Sweden, and Lilo Tornov of Switzerland (who is attending Cedar Grove High School) will speak about their homelands.

Mark your calendar: Additional student presentations are scheduled for Sundays Feb. 9 and April 19.

PHS is hosting nine students this year, from Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland; and also including two students attending Cedar Grove in activities. The Plymouth High School AFS chapter is one of the most active in the state, hosting 80 students from 37 different countries since 2012-13.
