The Plymouth High School Drama Department will be presenting “Rumors” by Neil Simon as its fall play Oct. 17 to 20.
In 1988, playwright Neil Simon needed to cheer himself up. The solution was “Rumors,” a farce in two acts that depicts a dinner party gone topsy-turvy.
When four couples gather to celebrate the 10th wedding anniversary of one of them, they all experience a severe attack of miscommunication and secrets. This enjoyable romp, which has been staged countless times all over the country, is one of Mr. Simon's most celebrated comedies.
Performances will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 17 through Saturday Oct. 19, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday Oct. 20, in the Acuity Auditorium at the school, 125 Highland Ave. General-seating tickets are $6 and are available in the PHS office beginning Oct. 1, as well as at the door.
