Registration is now open for the summer session of Plymouth School District Community Education and Recreation programs, which run from June through August.

Classes include a variety of fitness and wellness courses this summer – a mix of returning favorites plus five new opportunities:

  • Baby Steps: Caregivers with children in strollers will connect with others while walking for about 30 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of strengthening and stretching exercises using strollers for resistance.
  • Total Body Training: Increase your heart rate with low to medium impact intervals using weights, resistance bands, stability, Bosu and medicine balls, with a direct focus on core strengthening.
  • Meditation – Calm Mind, Calm Body: Explore and practice different techniques and styles of meditation to find one you enjoy.
  • Community Gardening: Meet as a group twice a month at different school gardens to get your hands in the soil, learn about innovative gardening tools and techniques, and harvest produce from the raised beds to take home.
  • Hot Topics in Wellness: Meet as a group once a month to explore and discuss hot topics in Wellness. At each meeting you will have open discussions, get hands-on experience, set a wellness goal, and learn about local resources and opportunities to help you reach your goal.
