Wisconsin Singers returning to PHS

Posted January 7, 2019

The Wisconsin Singers, featuring 2015 PHS grad Carter Krzyzaniak and other talented performers from UW-Madison, will perform this month at Plymouth High School.

The show will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 in the PHS Acuity Auditorium, 125 Highland Ave. Reserved-seat tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for students and are available in the PHS office. Tickets are also for sale at the Plymouth Piggly Wiggly.

Proceeds benefit Momentum, the PHS show choir, which will present its competitive show as the opening act.

Wisconsin Singers' newest show – Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now! – is a 90-minute revue of top hits of American pop music from the past five decades. Audiences will hear award-winners from the Oscars, Grammys and Tonys, as well as memorable “one-hit wonders.” The tribute to radio and video stars includes music by Frank Sinatra, Elton John and Petula Clark. Movie and musical theater fans will recognize songs from “The Greatest Showman,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Hamilton,” “Pitch Perfect 3” and “La La Land.”

The renowned Wisconsin Singers Band will perform “funky” music, great swing music, a killer version of Stevie Wonder's “Superstition,” and a tribute to The Beatles. Wisconsin Singers has a Fifth Quarter too, where Badger fans can sing along to “Varsity,” dance to “Tequila,” and jam to “Jump Around.”
