Four Plymouth School District students were selected for this year’s State Honors Music Project, which recently culminated in performances in the Madison area.
This initiative of the Wisconsin State Music Association offers musically talented students the opportunity to rehearse and perform with the nation’s finest conductors in a professional and disciplined setting. Participants are selected after highly competitive auditions requiring students to perform a solo and to demonstrate an ability to sight-read.
At the middle-school level, about 300 were selected from the nearly 1,200 who auditioned in the spring. Participants received the music in August and attended a workshop in October before singing Oct. 27 at Waunakee Community High School. Participating in the Middle School Honors Choir were:
