A Plymouth High School student and a PHS team won the recent Lakeland High School Math Meet, and two more teams finished in the Top 10.
At the event, held Oct. 15 at Lakeland University, participants from schools throughout Sheboygan County completed 16 questions as individuals, and six more questions with their teams.
PHS senior Michael Troka won the individual competition out of about 200 students. He was joined by fellow Panthers Kyle Kraus and Dallas Kreisa on the All Star Team, for the top nine individuals. Jacob Ashworth, Reed Gahagan, Ansel Olsen, and Alex Oty finished on the Honorable Mention Team, for those placing 10th through 18th.
The 30 teams at the event included three from PHS, which took first, eighth and 10th. Competing for the Panthers:
PHS had two teams in the Top 10 last year but this was the first time Plymouth has ever won this meet, which is dominated annually by Sheboygan North.
