Middle-school track to begin soon

Plymouth-area boys and girls in grades seven and eight are invited to participate in extracurricular track this spring.

An informational meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 15 in the cafeteria at Riverview Middle School, 300 Riverside Circle. Practices will begin Wednesday, April 4 and run from 3 to 4:30 p.m. school days at Riverview and Plymouth High School. Meets take place in April and May.

The team is coached by Riverview teachers Tyler Gruett, Deborah Kidder, and Gina Krueger; and PHS teacher Kamie Gritt.

Middle-school athletics, which are open to all area students whether they attend public or parochial school or are homeschooled, are coordinated by Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation. The cost of each sport is $20.
