LTC offering technology, ServSafe classes at PHS

Lakeshore Technical College is offering several business and technology classes at Plymouth High School this winter.

LTC is offering ServSafe Certification, which satisfies Wisconsin Statute HSS196.19(2)(a) requirements and includes classroom activity, textbook readings, and the testing for food handling certification. Class 25516 will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays from Feb. 14 to March 7; fee is $119.16 ($79.50 for those ages 62 and up), which does not include the DHSS filing fee.

In addition, the following continuing education classes will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. in the LTC-Plymouth Science and Technology Center at the school, located at 125 Highland Ave., unless otherwise noted:

  • Excel 2013-Level 1: Participants will develop basic computer skills in Excel 2013 as they create, edit and format Excel spreadsheets. Class 25652 will meet Wednesdays from Jan. 31 to Feb. 7; fee is $30.83 (seniors $11), which includes a jump drive to keep.
  • Excel 2013-Level 2: Students build more Excel knowledge and review the skills learned in Excel 2013-Level 1. They will concentrate on the development of formulas using relative and absolute referencing, and use of the following functions: sum, average, max, min, now, and If. Students also create a chart to display a pictorial representation of data from spreadsheets. Class 25653 will meet Wednesdays from Feb. 21 to 28; fee is $30.83 (seniors $11), which includes a jump drive to keep.
