Panthers in the Playoffs

Plymouth High School athletic teams competed in the WIAA playoffs. See how well they did!

Boys soccer

The Panthers advanced to the State Boys Soccer Tournament, losing to Delavan-Darien 2-0 (2OT) in a semi-final match Nov. 3 at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.

Earlier in the playoffs, the 1st-seeded Panthers had a bye for the first round of regionals Oct. 17, then defeated 16th-seeded Luxemburg-Casco 8-0 on Oct. 19, and 8th-seeded Fox Valley Lutheran 2-1 (OT) in the regional final Oct. 21. Plymouth defeated 4th-seeded Xavier in a sectional Oct. 26, and then Notre Dame 1-0 (OT) in the sectional final Oct. 28.

Cross Country

The girls took 13th as a team at the Division 2 State Cross Country Meet on Oct. 28. Competing for the Panthers were:

  • 50th: Ellie Welsch 20:48.30
  • 73rd: Maggie Munson 21:02.82
  • 84th: Lauren Rabe 21:14.59
  • 100th: Carley Lilek 21:32.65
  • 124th: Lily LaPorte 21:54.58
  • 137th: Smanatha Meyer 22:34.29
  • 145th: Amanda Triebensee 23:13.77

Earlier in the playoffs, the girls took 2nd as a team and the boys 7th at the sectional Oct. 21 in Two Rivers (sectional results).

Girls swimming and diving

The Panthers took 25th as a team at the State Girls Swimming & Diving Championships held Nov. 10 at the University of Wisconsin Natatorium in Madison. Competing for the Panthers were:

  • 1-meter Diving: 6th Danielle Tesky 362.30; 14th Isabella McCabe 320.55
  • 100-yard Butterfly: 13th Kathleen Coley 1:00.80
  • 400-yard Freestyle Relay: 16th Plymouth team of Morgen Frausto, Katie Sanborn, Keeley Kuru, Kathleen Coley 3:48.55

Earlier in the playoffs, the Panthers took 2nd as a team at the sectional Nov. 3-4 at Ashwaubenon (view sectional results).


The 4th-seeded Panthers defeated 5th-seeded New Berlin West 47-21 in the 1st round of Division 3 playoffs Oct. 20, but lost to 1st-seeded Whitefish Bay 35-0 in the 2nd round Oct. 27.

Girls tennis

The Panthers took 3rd as a team at Division 1 subsectionals on Oct. 3 at West Bend East. The No. 1 doubles team of Kayla Prahl and Kaylee Woelfel advanced to sectionals Oct. 5 at Oshkosh West, where they lost their first match.


The 5th-seeded Panthers defeated 12th-seeded Port Washington (25-11, 25-11, 26-24) in a Division 2 regional Oct. 17, but then lost to 4th-seeded Kewaskum (23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-15) in the second round Oct. 19.
