Schools launch new e-newsletter

Posted August 7, 2017

The Plymouth School District has revamped its weekly e-newsletter, School Notes, to be more accessible and mobile friendly.

The new newsletter, delivered via Constant Contact, still features several stories, upcoming events, and links to new content on the district website. It will continue to come from district communications coordinator Jamie Piontkowski, so recipients are encouraged to add her email ( to their address books.

"It is the easiest way to keep up on district news and events, as it appears magically in your inbox each Monday," Mrs. Piontkowski said. "You can scan the content – which is especially well-suited to mobile devices – then follow the links if you want more information."

School Notes is sent each week to all district employees, plus to about 1,300 parents, alumni and other community members. To sign up, visit and look for the “Newsletter Signup” link on the district menu. Those who signed up for the original e-newsletter are automatically signed up for the new version.

The new e-newsletter is one of the 2017-18 initiatives in the strategic plan to support the Community Engagement Pillar, which strives to increase energy, pride, awareness, connection, and involvement in the district.

The district has had a weekly e-newsletter since 2010. The Plymouth Education Foundation and Community Education & Recreation each also have their own newsletters.

In addition to the district website at, people also can get information about the district @Plymouth Schools on Facebook and Twitter. The foundation and Community Ed & Rec also have their own Facebook pages, as do several schools and departments.
