Panthers in the Playoffs

Plymouth High School athletic teams competed in the WIAA playoffs. See how well they did!


Girls soccer

The 1st-seeded Panthers defeated 4th-seeded Seymour 3-2 in a Division 3 sectional June 8, but lost to 2nd-seeded Winneconne 5-1 in the sectional final June 10.

PHS had a bye for the first round of Division 3 regionals on June 30, then defeated 16th-seeded Berlin 10-0 June 1, and 8th-seeded North Fond du Lac/Oakfield 4-0 in the regional final June 3.



PHS finished 10th as a team at the Division 1 State Boys Golf Championships on June 5-6 in Madison with a total score of 650 on the 36 holes. Competing for the Panthers were:

  • Jake Willeford, tied for 12th overall with a score of 153
  • Cade Knaus, tied for 50th with 162 
  • Cole Bogenschuetz, tied for 64th with 166
  • Alex Shutter, tied for 72nd with 169 
  • John Aschenbach, 102nd with 186 

PHS took 3rd as a team at the regional May 23 in Fond du Lac. Cole Bogenschuetz, Jake Willeford and Cade Knaus all tied for 6th with a score of 80; John O Aschenbach and Alex Shutter both tied for 12th with a score of 89. PHS took 2nd as a team at the sectional May 31 in Grafton, and advances to the Cole Bogenschuetz finished 4th overall with a score of 77, John Aschenbach was 9th with 79, Jake Willeford was 17th with 82, Cade Knaus was 20th with 84, and Alex Shutter was 39th with 96.



Competing for the Panthers at the Divison 1 State Track & Field Meet held June 2-3 at UW-La Crosse were:

  • Girls Discus: 12th Cece Huhn 117-00
  • Boys Long Jump: 12th Derek Novotny 21-9.50
  • Boys Triple Jump: 22nd Mason Guell 40-10

The Panthers boys and girls teams both finished fifth at the Division 1 regional May 22 at Hartford Union. (View regional results.) The PHS boys took 8th and the girls 10th at sectionals May 25 at West Bend West. (View sectional results.)


Boys tennis

As a special qualifier at the Division 2 Boys Tennis State Individual Championships, Gavin Binversie defeated Brody Woodson of East Troy 3-6, 6-2 on June 1 but then lost to Pablo Dale of Brookfield Academy 6-1,6-2 June 2.

The Panthers team tied for fourth at the subsectional May 22 in Green Bay, as Gavin Binversie took 2nd in Flight 1 Singles. He lost the first match at sectionals May 24 in Kohler.



The Panthers lost to Port Washington 10-1 May 25 in a Division 2 regional.
