Panthers in the Playoffs

Plymouth High School athletic teams are competing in the WIAA playoffs. You can follow them here!



The Panthers boys and girls teams both finished fifth at the Division 1 regional May 22 at Hartford Union. (View regional results.) The PHS boys took 8th and the girls 10th at sectionals May 25 at West Bend West. Competing for the Panthers were:

  • Boys 400 Meter Dash: 4th Mack Mella 50.74

  • Girls 4x200 Meter Relay: 5th Plymouth team of Gabi Mella, Libby Tournour, Gwen Nytes, Maggie Staehling, Christina Hoyt, Helen Baus 1:50.70
  • Boys 100 Meter Dash: 6th Derek Novotny 11.49; 7th Jack Benedict 11.51

Girls soccer

The 1st-seeded Panthers had a bye for the first round of Division 3 regionals on June 30, then defeated 16th-seeded Berlin 10-0 June 1, and 8th-seeded North Fond du Lac/Oakfield 4-0 in the regional final June 3. They next host the winner of Monday's game between Luxemburg-Casco and Seymour at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 8, with the sectional final at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 10 in Seymour. The Girls State Soccer Championships will be June 15-17 in Milwaukee.



PHS took 2nd as a team at the Division 1 sectional May 31 in Grafton, and advances to the State Boys Golf Championships on Monday, June 5 and Tuesday, June 6 in Madison. Cole Bogenschuetz finished 4th overall with a score of 77, John Aschenbach was 9th with 79, Jake Willeford was 17th with 82, Cade Knaus was 20th with 84, and Alex Shutter was 39th with 96.

PHS took 3rd as a team at the regional May 23 in Fond du Lac. Cole Bogenschuetz, Jake Willeford and Cade Knaus all tied for 6th with a score of 80; John O Aschenbach and Alex Shutter both tied for 12th with a score of 89.


Boys tennis

The Panthers team tied for fourth at the Division 2 subsectional May 22 in Green Bay, as senior Gavin Binversie took 2nd in Flight 1 Singles. He lost the first match at sectionals May 24 in Kohler. As a special qualifier at the Boys Tennis State Individual Championships, he defeated Brody Woodson of East Troy 3-6, 6-2 on June 1 but then lost to Pablo Dale of Brookfield Academy 6-1,6-2 June 2.



The Panthers lost to Port Washington 10-1 May 25 in a Division 2 regional.
