Plymouth High School was the place to be May 13, with three public events that day: Local Food Fair, PHS Culture Fair, and Panther Greenhouse Plant & Flower Sale.
The second annual Local Food Fair, sponsored by Nourish, featured food grown or produced in and around Plymouth. There were about 15 exhibitors, local food for sale, free samples, free raffle prizes, and discussions about local food.
The PHS Culture Fair, sponsored by the PHS World Language Department, featured Arabic, Japanese, Spanish and German language and other cultural presentations. There was entertainment and a raffle for an African drum, as well as sales of ethnic food and crafts from around the world. Participants received “passports” to have stamped at various stations, with completed passports entered into a prize drawing.
The Panther Greenhouse Plant & Flower Sale, sponsored by the PHS Agriscience Department, featured student-grown plants, including annual flowers in flats, baskets and planters, as well as vegetables and herbs.
