PHS Artifact: Academic Wall of Fame

Posted May 15, 2017

NOTE: In honor of the 50th anniversary of Plymouth Comprehensive High School this year, we're sharing images of objects in and around the school. If you know more about these artifacts, please contact Jamie Piontkowski at jpiontkowski@plymouth.k12.wi.us or 892-5068.

Another name will be added to the Plymouth High School Academic Wall of Fame after this week’s annual Awards Night.

The centerpiece of the Academic Wall of Fame, located across from the district office, recognizes PHS valedictorians and salutatorians from 1967 to 2013. Since 2014 it has featured the name of the class exemplar, chosen to represent the class at graduation each year.

The Wall of Fame display also includes photos of Academic Letter Winners, those students who maintain a 3.85 grade-point average for two consecutive semesters. Honored students receive pins progressing from a lamp to a bronze medal to a silver medal to a gold medal.

A committee is working on updating the Academic Wall of Fame.
