Meet the Board of Education candidates

Two people are running without opposition for re-election to the Plymouth Board of Education in the Tuesday, April 4 general election:

  • Jamie Klemme Gambrell to represent Area A, the city of Plymouth
  • Sally Isely to represent Area B, the area outside the city

Regardless of where they live, all voters in the school district can vote for either or both candidates. The terms are for three years.

City of Plymouth residents vote at City Hall, 128 Smith St. Village of Cascade residents vote at Cascade Village Hall, 301 First St. Residents of other communities vote at their respective town halls.

Prior political experience: In 2011, I was elected to the Plymouth School Board and served 14 months, until a move out of Sheboygan County forced my resignation. Elected to current term in 2014, after moving back into the district.
Children: 2 sons -- Jesse, 25, who graduated from PHS in 2010; Zachary, 20, who graduated from PHS in 2015, having attended Plymouth public schools since 1st grade
Bio: I was born in Plymouth and attended Plymouth Public Schools, graduating from PHS in 1977. I attended the United States Air Force Academy, graduated in 1981 with a BS in Biology and a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. In 1982, I graduated from pilot training and went on to fly C141 cargo aircraft and then instruct new pilots in the T-37 jet trainer. In 1988, I was honorably discharged achieving the rank of Captain. Subsequently, I was hired by American Airlines, flying numerous different passenger aircraft both domestically and internationally. I have lived in many parts of the United States and have traveled extensively worldwide. Both of my children were born in Florida and we lived there until 2003, when we decided to relocate to Wisconsin. We were excited about the educational opportunities, the small town atmosphere and reconnecting with my extended family.

Bio: Lived in Plymouth for 35 years; distributor of Young Living Essential Oils, also Nicolet Welcome Representative and part time at Kwik Trip
