Public invited to PHS Open House

Posted February 13, 2017

Families and community members are invited to tour Plymouth High School as part of its 50th anniversary celebration.

An open house will be held from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23. Visitors can:

  • Tour the Food Science & Agriculture Center.
  • Explore the LTC-Plymouth Science & Technology Center.
  • See examples of student work throughout the building.
  • View 50 years’ worth of posters and programs from PHS student productions.
  • Sample cookies baked by culinary arts students.

National Honor Society students will be available to greet and guide visitors.

The open house is being held in conjunction with parent-teacher conferences. Teachers will be available in their classrooms for parents who wish to discuss student progress.

Plymouth Comprehensive High School opened for classes Sept. 6, 1966, though some areas were not yet completed until that December. It was designed to offer a broad choice of subjects but also a large amount of individual attention – both of which continue to be hallmarks of the school.
