PHS students sign letters of intent

On National Signing Day, two Plymouth High School athletes signed letters of intent to play collegiate sports.

Derek Schweiger will be a preferred walk-on for the football team at Iowa State University in Ames. He was 2016 All-State Honorable Mention; Academic All-State; All-Region Team (offense and defense); East Central Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Defensive Lineman of the Year, and Offensive Lineman of the Year; All-Conference 1st Team (for defensive end and offensive line, both unanimous).

Kaylee Koenig will play soccer at UW-Whitewater. She was 2016 All-East Central Conference First Team as an attacker; Sheboygan Press All-Area Best of the Rest; and team Most Valuable Player.

Earlier this year, Megan Goeser signed to play volleyball at Lakeland University. She was an All-Conference Honorable Mention player in 2016.

Later this month, Emily Majerus is expected to sign a letter of intent to play basketball at Carroll College.
