Posted January 30, 2017
The Feb. 17 Fantastic Friday, open to all area students in 4K through eighth grade, will feature tubing at Sunburst Ski Area.
Fantastic Fridays are enriching, fun events on no-school days, with supervision provided by Community Education & Recreation child-care workers and Youth Center staff.
Drop-off and pick-up will be at Horizon Elementary School, 411 S. Highland Ave. The bus will leave at 9 a.m. and return around noon. Wrap-around child care is available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at no additional cost.
Students should bring a cold lunch; a light breakfast and snack will be provided. Space is limited to 65 participants, so register early. Fee is $30 until Feb. 10, then $45.
Note: St. Vincent de Paul is offering a separate afternoon tubing trip for grades 5 through 12 that same day.
Mark your calendar: Future Fantastic Fridays include rescue dogs and relay games on March 31, and the PHS pool and ropes course on April 28.
