Posted January 16, 2017

Plymouth-area boys and girls in grades five through eight are invited to participate in extracurricular wrestling.

Middle-school athletics, which are open to all area students whether they attend public or parochial school or are homeschooled, are coordinated by Plymouth School District Community Education and Recreation. The cost is $20 per sport.

The wrestling team is coached by Riverview Middle School teacher John Hoopman. An informational meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 in the gym at Riverview Middle School, 300 Riverside Circle.

Practices will run from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on school days beginning Monday, Jan. 30 at Riverview.

The season consists of five conference meets mostly on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Feb. 21, with a conference tournament March 16.
