Wisconsin Singers coming to PHS

Posted January 9, 2017

The Wisconsin Singers, featuring 2015 PHS grad Carter Krzyzaniak and other talented performers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will perform this month at Plymouth High School.

The show will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27 in the PHS Auditorium, 125 Highland Ave. Reserved-seat tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for students and are available in the PHS office.

Proceeds benefit Momentum, the PHS show choir. Momentum will present its award-winning competitive show as the opening act for the Wisconsin Singers. This is the last opportunity to see Momentum perform this show for the year.

This year’s show is “In Living Color,” a high-energy, Broadway-caliber event for the whole family. It features more than 60 “colorful” songs from timeless legends such as Judy Garland and Elvis Presley to current pop icons such as Beyoncé and Bruno Mars.

Broadway fans will enjoy well-known numbers from Grease, Saturday Night Fever and Hamilton, while kids of all ages will laugh out loud at the antics of Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd and Slimer from Ghostbusters. The celebrated Singers band rocks the house with an impressive medley of jazz classics and a tribute to the ’80s. Badger fans will love the Singers' rendition of the famous Fifth Quarter, where audiences sing "Varsity" and dance to "Tequila."
