Plymouth Panther holiday gift guide

Posted November 28, 2016

Plymouth High School can make your holiday shopping easier with these gift ideas for your favorite PHS student or Panthers fan.

Panther apparel

The PHSpanthers.com online store offers spirit wear featuring several exclusive designs.

The school’s online store was created in 2009 to provide Panthers apparel to students, parents, staff and community members. Custom Craft Trophy & Embroidery of Plymouth took over the store in 2012 and created several new designs, including embroidered paw prints and vintage and retro screens.

The store offers T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies in a variety of colors and designs, as well as higher-end athletic wear featuring wicking fabrics. Personalization is available on many items for an additional fee.

A portion of each sale benefits the Plymouth School District. Shipping is a flat $6.50 per order, or items may be picked up at no additional charge at Custom Craft Trophy & Embroidery, 118 N. Highland Ave.

Online orders must be placed by Thursday, Dec. 10 to ensure delivery before Christmas. Last-minute shoppers can visit Custom Craft Trophy to check out a variety of ready-to-wear spirit items in stock.

Athletic passes

Make it more economical to attend PHS sporting events by purchasing an athletic pass. Passes are good for all home games from September through May. These nontransferable passes cost $30 for adults and $10 for non-PHS students. (PHS student admission is covered by the yearly activity fee, so they get in free with their ID card.)

Learn more: Passes can be purchased in the Plymouth High School office during normal business hours, or at any sporting event where admissions are collected.

Fitness Center memberships & class gift certificates

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation sells gift certificates in any denomination, which can be used toward any of its classes. The certificates also are good toward Community Fitness Center memberships, which start at $70 for an individual for a quarter.

The supervised fitness center located in the lower level of Plymouth High School features circuit training, free weights, bicycles, stair steppers, treadmills and ellipticals.

The fitness center is offering a winter special: Purchase a 1-year membership at discounted rates by Jan. 20 and get half-price fitness and aquatic classes for the year. Special rates are $189 for individuals, $283 for couples, $113 for district residents ages 62 and up, and $170 for senior couples.

Learn more:  Visit the Community Ed & Rec website, call 892-5068, or visit Plymouth Community Education & Recreation on the north end of Plymouth High School, 125 Highland Ave. Watch for the winter course guide online Monday, Dec. 12 and in the Plymouth Review Xtra on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Tickets are not available yet, but you could make a voucher for admission to the spring musical or the PHS fall play. The spring musical will be March 2 through 5. The fall play is usually in early November. Tickets for either usually range from $5 to $9.

In addition, the Jolly Pranksters can be hired for private performances.
