An ugly sweater competition is part of the holiday-themed festivities for the next Fantastic Friday.

Holiday fun planned for no-school day

Plymouth School District Community Education and Recreation is offering another Fantastic Friday on the Dec. 9 no-school day.

The event will have a theme of “Holiday Fun” and will include a dance party, gym time, movies, gift making, an ugly sweater competition, sledding and snowman making (weather permitting).

Fantastic Fridays are enriching, fun days open to all area students in 4K through eighth grade. Supervision is provided by Community Ed & Rec child-care workers and Youth Center staff.

Drop-off and pick-up will be at Horizon Elementary School, 411 S. Highland Ave. Organized activities will occur between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., but wrap-around child care is available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at no additional cost.

Students should bring a cold lunch; a light breakfast and snack will be provided. Space is limited, so register early. Fee is $30 until Dec. 2, then $45. No refunds will be provided.
