PHS Parent Network
What We Are
What is Parent Network? Parent Network is a group of parents, teachers, and administrators who usually meet at PHS Library just 4 times during the school year. The topics could include such things as Homecoming, Prom, getting ready for college, scholarships, and anything else that might be of interest to PHS families. There is always time during these one-hour meetings for your questions and concerns. There is no fundraising involved with this group.
What does Parent Network do? Besides having the meetings, we organize the Parent/Student Directory each year. All families who agree to the Parent Pledge and fill out a card each year with their information are listed in the directory and receive a copy of the directory for the current school year. If you provide us with your email address, we will try to inform and remind you of important upcoming dates.
If you are not interested in being listed in the directory, but still want to be informed through email, you can provide your email address at orientation nights or contact one of us.
We will continue to try and keep this link updated with information for parents throughout the year. Of course we are always open to new ideas so if there is something you feel is important let us know.

PARENT/STUDENT 2012-2013 DIRECTORY & CARD
Have you ever had a question for another parent and could not find their phone number to contact them? Are you concerned about your high school student attending parties at the home of someone you don’t know? Are you concerned that the parents will be home that night? We have just the solution.
The PHS Parent Network will again publish an updated Parent/Student Directory to help both parents and students develop a communication network at the high school level. To be included in the 2012-2013 Directory,
you must agree to the Parent Pledge, fill out, sign and mail or return the enclosed post card to Plymouth High School by July 31, 2012. The Parent/Student Directory will be distributed during the fall of 2012 to every household
that has agreed to be included in the Directory.
The Parent Pledge (see below) is extremely important to the well-being of our children. Because of the increasing concern about the acceptance of alcohol and drugs, it is important to establish appropriate limits and curfews, communicate with other parents, and commit to a zero tolerance to the illegal use of alcohol, drugs, and prescription drugs by our teens.
PARENT PLEDGEAs a parent of a Plymouth High School (PHS) student, I am interested in providing a safe, drug-free and alcohol-free environment in which all youth can gain experiences in a positive and enjoyable fashion.
I encourage parents of other PHS students to call me to verify that parties at my home will be appropriately supervised.
This pledge does not guarantee that problems will not arise. It only confirms my resolve to support other parents in their efforts to ensure, as best as we are able, that our sons and daughters will grow strong and healthy in a safe and fun atmosphere.
