WIAA playoffs have begun for Plymouth High School athletic teams. You can follow them here!
No. 5-seeded Plymouth lost to No. 4-seeded Two Rivers on Oct. 11 in a WIAA Divison 2 regional final. The Panthers previously beat No. 12-seeded Luxemburg-Casco 4-3 in a regional Oct. 9.
Flight 1 singles player Elizabeth Raeder and the Flight 1 doubles team of Sophia Kiela and Beth Brisson were selected as special qualifiers to the WIAA Division 1 Individual State Tennis Tournament. Raeder lost 6-2, 6-4 to Alex Talyansky of Homestead in the first round Oct. 11. Kiela and Brisson lost 6-2, 7-1 to Darcy Hogendorn and Allison Ragsdale of Middleton in the first round.
The Panther team took seventh at a WIAA sectional Oct. 4 in Neenah. The Flight 2 doubles team of juniors Elle Klecka and Chloe Kastelic took third. The Panther team finished fourth at a subsectional Oct. 2 in Beaver Dam.
The Panthers will participate in the EWC Tournament Saturday, Oct. 13 in Waupun. WIAA Division 2 regionals are Tuesday, Oct. 16 and Thursday, Oct. 18, with finals Saturday, Oct. 20. Sectionals will be Thursday, Oct. 25 at Wrightstown, with the sectional final Saturday, Oct. 27 at West DePere. The State Girls Volleyball Championships are Nov. 2-3 in Green Bay.
The Panthers will participate in the EWC Meet Saturday, Oct. 13 at Two Rivers. The WIAA Division 2 sectional will be Saturday, Oct. 20 at Two Rivers. The State Cross Country Championships are Saturday, Oct. 27 in Wisconsin Rapids.
WIAA Division 2 playoffs begin Oct. 19. The second round will be Oct. 26, the third round Nov. 2 and the fourth round Nov. 9. The State Football Championship will be Friday, Nov. 16 in Madison.
Girls swimming and diving
The Panthers will host the EWC Meet Saturday, Oct. 27. PHS also hosts a WIAA Division 2 sectional Friday, Nov. 2 (diving) and Saturday, Nov. 3 (swimming). The State Swimming & Diving Championships are Friday, Nov. 9 in Madison.
