Students in grades three through five recently presented “Tweet” for the public as the culmination of a Plymouth School District summer school musical theater class.
“Tweet” is about four little birds who are considering what life is like beyond their nest as several feathered friends plus a troop of squirrel scouts stops by to offer conflicting words and songs of advice. Finally a wise owl explains “life is what you make it to be,” and a high flying eagle offers a pep talk that inspires the birds to spread their wings and soar.
Students in the summer school musical theater classes work with directors to produce short musicals. Students are involved in all aspects of the shows’ production, as actors, singers, dancers and stage-crew members.
