Those with disabilities invited to Transition Fair

The Plymouth School District is hosting the Bridging for the Future Transition Fair for anyone in Sheboygan County who would like to learn about resources in the community for students and adults with disabilities.

The fair will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 16 at Riverview Middle School, 300 Riverside Circle, Plymouth. Refreshments will be available.

Attendees can meet representatives from agencies throughout the county to help plan for the future. Participating agencies include Aging and Disability Resource Center, Mental Health Association, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Social Security Administration, RCS Empowers Inc., Paragon, Hearthstone, Moraine Park Technical College, Special Olympics, the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan, Lakeshore Technical College, TLC and Family Care/IRIS.

Speakers will give a 15-minute overview of what they have to offer, and representatives from each agency will be available afterward at their booth for questions. Speakers include:

  • Youth Apprenticeship/Youth Options, 6:15-6:30 p.m.
  • Aging and Disability Resource Center, 6:30-6:45 p.m.
  • Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, 6:45-7 p.m.
  • RCS Empowers, 7-7:15 p.m.
  • Moraine Park Technical College, 7:15-7:30 p.m.
  • Mental Health Association, 7:30-7:45 p.m.
