Plymouth High School students participated in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference Honors Choir and Band performance Jan. 7 in Two Rivers.
The EWC Honors Choir performed “Zion Walls” by Aaron Copland, “If Ye Love Me” by Thomas Tallis, “Tshotsholoza” adapted by Jeffery L. Ames, “Nelia Fantasia” arranged by Audrey Snyder and “Music Down in My Soul” arranged by Moses Hogan.
Participating PHS students included sopranos Kyrstin Schaefer, Becky Schwartz and Lizzy Stanczyk; tenors Austin Ernst, Joe Larson and Chris Matz; altos Hailey Johnson, Keston Murphy and Emily Schirmer; and basses Corbin Dewey and Zach Holden.
The EWC Honors Band performed “Encomium” by George Sweet, “Just a Closer Walk with Thee” arranged by Calvin Custer, “Emperata Overture” by Claude T. Smith, “The Fairest of the Fair” by John Phillip Sousa and arranged by F. Fennell, and the “Flight of the Bumble Bee” by Rimsky Korsakov.
Participating PHS students included Erin Drees on flute, Charlie Niedzelkowski on oboe, Rachel Thompson on bassoon, Aubrey Newton on percussion, Andrew Wilson on baritones; Kaitlyn Krzyzaniak on clarinet, Joann Wolfenberg on bass clarinet, Steph Hunter on French horn, Payden Beyer on trombone, Josh Kasuboski on tuba, Michaela Calhoun and Hannah Klecka on alto saxophone, and Sarah DeGroff and Christina Schicker on trumpet.
