The Plymouth School District is now taking appointments for its Child Development Days, a free developmental screening program for young children.
The program is open to district residents ages 2½ through 4 who have not yet started school.
The free screening helps identify if a child is appropriately developing in many areas, including: physical, sensory, personal/social, adaptive, gross and fine motor, communication and cognitive. All information gathered is confidential.
School professionals will be on hand to answer questions parents may have about their child's development. Information from community resources also will be available.
The screening process takes approximately one hour. Each child will be provided a small snack and will be presented a bag of age-appropriate materials.
Screenings will be held:
Parents can sign up for either location; it does not have to be their child’s future home school.
