Middle-school wrestling to begin soon

Plymouth-area boys in grades five through eight are invited to participate in extracurricular wrestling.

The initial meeting is set for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 in Riverview Middle School Room 217. Practices will be from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. from Jan. 29 to March 14 in the Riverview wrestling room. The team, coached by John Hoopman, will participate in six meets between Feb. 21 and March 15.

Middle-school extracurriculars, which are open to all area students whether they attend public or parochial school or are homeschooled, are coordinated by Plymouth School District Community Education and Recreation.

The cost of participating in middle-school extracurriculars is $15 for one activity and $30 for two or more activities. If financial assistance is necessary, please contact Community Education & Recreation at 892-5068.
